The Military Non Kinetic Approach In Curbing Insurgency In Nigeria Via Social Media

The Nigeria military has been erupted in their combat against the rising insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria.

However the way and manner of tackling this deadly cankerworm to the peace and stability of this great Nation called Nigeria is embedded in both the Men and Women in Uniform (Khaki) and the Men and Women in non uniform (Citizens) this implies Civil Military Relations.

The conduct and operation of both the Civilian and the Military in a Democratic Nation like Nigeria is guided by the Constitution.

For peace to thrive in a Democratic society like Nigeria the tenate and principles of the Constitution needs to be uphold by the State actors.

There needs to be a guideline in all manner of operations within the Nation.

That is why the social media needs to be monitored and guided by the government.

Freedom of information and expression is one of the key element of a Democratic society, however in the case whereby the channels of Information is not monitored and it's diesmination is not organized and coordinated appropriately, the people (Citizens) can orchestrate a disorder.

Using the Non-Kinetic approach by the Military, this implies the non use of motion (force). It means the strategic application in a friendly manner.

In the case of rising insurgency in Nigeria (Boko Haram, Banditry, Secessionist agitation and lots more) The military needs to engage the civilian in getting information that will be useful in harnessing Insecurity and enforcement of peace within the Nigeria Federation.

The Nigeria Military needs Civilian to combat terrorism in Nigeria.

It is the Community leaders that knows the Man and Woman in his or her Community very well before the Nigeria Military will come and drag a man from his house as a suspected terrorist, Bandit or Secessionist, concrete Information must have been received by the Civilians around him.

The private life of each  citizens is what culminate into public affairs.

As a matter of fact in civil military relations there needs to be a coordinated way of interaction.

The Military should see themselves as the guardian and peace keeper that's why you go on peace keeping mission in a Democratic society while the Civilians should be regarded as mastermind behind peace.
